ADMISSIONS
Admissions are based on the belief that it is
our job to help
children succeed. Acceptance is based on space availability in the class and not on how a
child performs in a interview or on a test. We have always used this non-intimidating
approach and it has resulted in a very diverse and interesting student-body.
As always, children who are currently enrolled in the school have priority for the
following year.
We are a developmental school. While we follow the general rule that children should be 4
by September 1 for Junior Kindergarten, 5 by September 1 for Senior Kindergarten, and so
forth, this rule is far from written in stone. We place children in the
developmentally-appropriate grade level, taking into account social, emotional, cognitive
and physical development. Our administration and teachers work with the family to make
this decision.
